"Aranyak", a novel haunted me in many ways

Aranyak, a novel by Bhibhuti bhushan Bandopadyay was completed by me a few days back. in fact, first I got finished reading its Telugu translation. And it translated by Surampudi Seetaram, almost some decades back.Soon after which I had an interest to go for English version.Amazon helped me by sending it on time. English translation rendered by Suchismita Banergee Rai. You would ask me what made me read all these two translations on a spur, sure there is a strong reason behind it,the novel ,though it was penned between 1937-39,triggered my inner senses in many ways.Literally it haunted day in and day out, wherever I go.

The ranges of Mahalikha mountains, dense forests of Purnia and Lobotia, the protagonist Satya charan's entry into that places on a livelihood made an indelible impression on my mind. Not only that, the human drama happened there with local Gangota tribals and other people like Nandalal Ojha,Dhaturia,Raju Pandey,Kunta and some other families can strike us with its own kind of inside stories. If you wish to have known the social, economic and geographical conditions of British ruling days,it's the beautiful source for it.One would know the local conditions packed with myriad colors that you can't imagine beforehand.

The first and foremost hero of the novel was the forest. And nature. It's true. How a place of flora and fauna got turned into that was worth unraveling. One must read this to know the secret, else, you wouldn't know it forever. That's how I fall in love with this extraordinary novel. In my opinion, this is undoubtedly one of the most brilliant .novel ever created in our country. Without having read it, any educated Indian could be a handicap in one or many respects.Prose style and plot evolving by Bhibuthi Bhushan was  extraordinary and each page takes us with such a gripping narration. Sure, after once you finished with it,your heart remains calm with many inexplicable emotions.

You left me like it

today is the D Day

Which dawned with thousands of hues and

splashed across the racing clouds,

An unforeseen dream came true in its sweetest sense

I never saw a day to be prettiest of its kind,
ever in the past,

The day is quite dazzling in the spirit

Yet sensual,pulsating and heart pounding,

Come, with what you have, into my realms of passions,

dreams and aspirations.
Welcome.

IB: Tell us about your education..!

NM: I did my graduation B.Sc and Hindi came my way after it. I finished my HPT and thereafter M.A. was also completed in Hindi. I never satisfied with it and wanted to be M.Phil. Fortunately, I successfully completed it from Kakatiya University under the guidance of Prof.Sanjeev ji who is one of the most coveted authorities on the subject. Right now, I have been pursuing my P.hd from Osmania University under the guidance of Smt. Rekha Sharma ji, an acclaimed expert in Hindi. I also completed my LL.B from Kakatiya university.

(ATA Felicitation)

IB: Elaborate more about your research topic..!

NM: In M.Phil, my topic was Nashe Nashe ki bath-Samajik Chintan and it was a conglomerate of 3 dramas authored by Yash pal Ji. In P.hd, my topic is Hindi Kahani yon me Samajwadi yadardwadi. Still, it is under progress.

IB: We want to know your further contribution towards the subject and other achievements..!

NM: I have attended national seminars in 2003 and in 2013 at Kakatiya University and presented papers. I also participated in the celebrations of O.U.Centenary in 2016 and presented a paper. In the schools wherever worked I conducted cultural programs, poetry recitals, and dramas to enhance the spirit of Hindi language. Still, the activities are on like Hindi Divas. I involve students and distribute prizes.

(In Osmania University Centenary celebrations)

I become part of panel inspections and am serving as a member of DCEB to prepare question papers. I participate in  SCERT training as a DRP. In the last summer, I conducted refreshment classes for Asram schools at the behest of Project officer of ITDA. I participated in RVM training and also at Agra in 2016 at the Central Institute of Hindi. Ten days at Hyderabad sibir too. Like that, I used to give my services for the Hindi fraternity. I contributed to translations also. Hindi to Telugu and vice versa at the time of Balotsav celebrations held at Bhadrachalam. Helped professionals like doctors in the matter of spoken Hindi.

(Giving Radio talk at Kothagudem station)

IB: We heard that you have taken a district level prize recently, tell us about it..!

NM: Yes, I have stood first in the district when our state government conducted an essay competition on the subject of "I Love my job" and received a felicitation in the presence of Smt. Vasanthi Garu (DEO), District collector Saini sir along with local MLAs.Not only at Kothagudem dist level, but we could also be felicitated at Hyderabad shortly. MLC Srinivasulu Naidu Garu felicitated me during the days of the residual state.

(Speaking at an International seminar held at Kakatiya University)

IB: Any other things that you wish to share with us..?

NM: Hindi is not a subject of 20 marks. It plays an important role as a national language. It should be taken more care at the levels of 6th and 7th classes. and the child could pick up automatically thereafter. That's the crucial stage. I hailed from Dummugudem Mandal and studied there up to high school. I thank  Annepaka Devadas sir and Kshatriya Shankar Singh sir profusely for their teaching lessons inspiringly.

Book Unveiled

Today is a D Day in terms of my literary pursuit. I have already penned 4 titles in Telugu and it's the maiden attempt in English with eleven stories packed for the readers. Sri Rajesh Chandra garu IPS, Asst.Superintendent of Police inaugurated the latest publication titled "The Riverside man and other short stories ", a collection of eleven short stories.

All these pieces are varied in the nature of the theme and at the same time epitomizing the hidden anecdotes of the Bhadrachalam and its vicinity. Along with locals, the people who don't know Telugu should know the special features confined to this area. That's how I started writing all these with a unique mission.

On the occasion of it, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Sri PV Satyanarayana garu, my friend who happens to be the district correspondent of The Hans India (English daily) helped me a lot in the program. And he also clicked a set of beautiful photos to freeze the moments.

Poems in a breezy evening

Padyam or traditional poem is a unique form of Telugu language. And there are scores of poems penned by many poets. Among them, Daasaradhi Satakam is a prominent one.Satakam means a collection of hundred poems.Daasaradhi Satakam was penned by Kancherla Gopanna almost three centuries back.Every poem is in metrical  form,so it's very easy to by heart once it got by the child in the tender age.And the child will never forget the poems, that's why it has become a tradition to teach the poems as much as possible.Of course, the days are changing and it has been dwindling in present scenario.

Sri Rallabandi Balaji Raju,a local academician, has exclusively taken a responsibility to spreading the love towards it among the children.Yesterday,he  conducted an event of reciting more than hundred poems in the premises of Saraswati sishu mandir. The program had been taken place in open ground enjoying  breezy atmosphere. Young enthusiasts listened to the master in order to hone their  skills.Sri Raju also gifted the copies of the poems to be kept with them for reference. The event came up only with the personal interest of him out of his love towards the form of the poem.
